Willkommen
Liebe Forstkolleginnen und -kollegen sowie Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer der 56. Ausgabe der Europäischen Forst-Skilanglaufmeisterschaften. Nach mehreren Teilnahmen an früheren Ausgaben haben wir beschlossen, uns der Herausforderung zu stellen und zum ersten Mal eine Ausgabe in Friaul-Julisch Venetien zu organisieren.
Die Wahl des Austragungsortes fi el auf das Carnia Arena International Biathlon Centre in Piani di Luzza - Forni Avoltri, ein Ort mit bewährter Erfahrung in der Ausrichtung sportlicher Veranstaltungen wie Junioren-Weltmeisterschaften, Universiaden, Europacup, Italiencup, EYOF-Olympische Spiele und viele andere.
In der Woche, die wir gemeinsam verbringen werden, wohnen wir im Olympischen Dorf “Bella Italia”, etwa 1800 Meter vom Biathlonzentrum entfernt. Es erwarten uns zahlreiche technische, sportliche und touristische Ausflüge, um die Besonderheiten unserer Region kennenzulernen, sowie die Verkostung unserer kulinarischen Spezialitäten. All dies wird uns verbinden und jenes Freundschaftsgefühl stärken, das die Forstwelt seit jeher verbindet.
Ein besonderer Dank gilt allen Partnern und freiwilligen Helfern, die die Organisation dieser Veranstaltung möglich gemacht haben.
Es ist mir eine große Ehre und eine besondere Freude, Sie in Friaul-Julisch Venetien willkommen zu heißen und Sie eine Woche lang anlässlich dieser Europäischen Forstlichen Nordischen Skimeisterschaften zu beherbergen.

Dear Forestry colleagues and participants of the 56th edition of the European Forestry Nordic Ski Championships, after taking part in several past editions, we have decided to challenge ourselves and organize, for the
fi rst time, an edition in Friuli Venezia Giulia.
The chosen location is the Carnia Arena International Biathlon Centre in Piani di Luzza - Forni Avoltri, a venue with proven experience in hosting sporting events such as the Junior World Championships, the Universiade, the European Cup, the Italian Cup, the EYOF Olympic Games, and many others.
The week we will spend together, staying at the “Bella Italia” Olympic Village, located about 1800 meters from the Biathlon Centre, will include a variety of technical, sports, and tourist excursions that will allow us to discover the unique features of our Region, as well as the tasting of our culinary specialties. All of this will engage us and help to rediscover and strengthen that spirit of friendship that has always united the forestry world.

It is a great honor and a real pleasure for me to welcome you to Friuli Venezia Giulia and to host you for a week during this European Forestry Nordic Ski Championship.
